Should we ever partial squat?

Short answer….YES!

If you’re a serious lifter, I probably just angered you. To most gym rats, partials are a huge no-no in the gym.

Honestly, I understand why. Most people we see partial squatting are just looking for new PRs, a big ego boost, and have probably never squatted full range of motion once in their life.

But, there is some solid evidence in using partial squats in conjunction with full range squats can be extremely beneficial.

I don’t want you to stop squatting full depth. Just add some partials into your tool box! It can definitely help increase your full squat strength and you can make it more sport specific as well.
