5 Biggest Nutrition Myths-Myth 3!

5 Biggest Nutrition Myths-Myth 3!

Carbs & Sugar are the devil! We have been hearing things like this for years in the fitness and nutrition industry. We always take one thing every few years and demonize it. We have done it with egg yolks, red meat causing cancer, fat being bad for you, and the list goes on.

When it comes to things like blood sugar, insulin resistance, obesity, being unhealthy in general… All of these things are always multifactorial. It’s never as simple as saying we can point everything to this one problem.

Most of the studies out there on carbs and sugar only paint in a bad light whenever they are taking in a lot of it and in way over the amount needed for their specific general calorie intake.

Anything in excess can be bad for you. Unfortunately, we live in a society where it’s really easy to get a lot of processed carbohydrates and cakes and candies that are very easy to eat in excess.

So, just remember carbohydrates and sugar are not bad as long as you’re not ingesting excess and in many situations they should be included in your diet.
