5 Biggest Nutrition Myths-Myth 4!
—
Eat multiple small meals all throughout the day to boost your metabolism…in theory. Anytime that we eat we do see a small boost in our metabolism.
—
But, in practice what has been found is that if you eat the exact same amount of calories over three meals or five meals, in the same day, there’s pretty much not any difference as far as fat loss is concerned.
—
What matters most is the total amount of food that you eat throughout the day, not how many meals that total amount of food is broken up into.
—
So, essentially what you should do is whatever works best for you. If you like eating five or six small meals a day and that works well with you and your lifestyle then stick to it! But, don’t feel like you need to eat more than three times per day in order to get a metabolic boost.
—
Most people that I work with don’t have the time to prep out 5 to 6 meals per day. It takes more work and preparation to be able to do that.
—
But, as I said, do whatever works best for you and your lifestyle because either option is going to yield pretty much the same results.
